Mites... A huge guessing game for me. Please give me some advice.

Hi there, I spend a lot of time fretting about whether my chickens need mite or worm treatment, whether they're healthy and whether their set-up is adequate. I have taken a number of pics. We are in mid summer right now.
I greatly appreciate any advice you have for me. My chooks are almost one year old. They lay one egg each per day, although one of them has skipped laying a couple of times. There has also been some feather pecking. I feed a good commercial feed, give healthy treats late afternoon and keep it to a minimum. Oyster grit is in the macrame.

They are looking good and have fluffy butts to me!
To check for mites, you will need to handle your birds one by one and give them an "All Over" inspection. If they are not use to being handled, do it at roosting time. Get yourself a helper for extra hands.
Be sure to check their vent area and under/inside their wings.
If you have mites, feathers will be missing and you will see tiny black specks at the feather base.
Good luck. Feather pecking can be a normal behavior sometimes.
