I bought the concentrate and then mixed it myself following the guidelines on the bottle, and used it for spraying the coop and everything down.Did you use the concentrate or the premixed?

I bought the premixed for spraying my birds and nesting boxes, especially since I have 2 broody hens.
I have a couple more questions.
I have some chicks that are about 4 weeks old. (They hatched out aug 23rd) and the other batch should be hatching out very soon. Will permethrin hurt the chicks? I do take them out of the area (along with the hens) while I spray until everything is dry.
Thank you, maybe this is where I messed up prior. Im going to try to fog the coop and underside of it (since its raised) to try to help too. This isn't going to get rid of mites.
Agree with treatment every 7-10 days for a few weeks. You definitely need to remove the pavers and spray where they sat, as well as the actual pavers as well. Mites are harder to eradicate than lice. They get into the smallest crevices and hide. Go crazy spraying the coop and every nook and cranny in it.
I have heard if you paint or stain the wood, the mites wont be able to hide in it. Is this true? Are there any benefits to painting/staining the coop/run?
