We found out our chickens have mites so we have been spraying our henhouse once a week with liquid 7 and dusting our chickens with 7 dust for 3 weeks now, when do we know we have control of the mites? What are the signs of when the mites are gone? and how long does it take for the feathers to grow back?

My chickens have mite problems during the winter, perhaps because they can't dust bathe as often. In the spring they seem to get rid of them on their own. My guess would be that you will get rid of the mites after just two or three treatments, but I have never used those products before. They should have instructions with them for how meany treatments to give.

The feathers should grow back in a month or two. It may depend on when they last molted.

Hope it all works out!

7 worked great for us about 6 months ago. Within 2 days the affected hen was clear. They are back now and we have used the 7 dust on the ones who need it. Hoping they will be gone in a couple days. Idk hour they get them because my girls free range almost 12 hours a day so I'm going they aren't in the coop. I just cleaned it out 2 weeks ago.

I think they pick up a few mites from wild birds (which do have mites. If you touch their nests you will get covered in them) and bring them back to the coop.
These few mites will move into the coop and hide in the cracks and crevices, coming out to feed when the hens perch. They multiply quickly.
