I can agree with that. While I don't like the idea of using insecticides in garden, or on poultry, the bottom line is this: some times it's necessary. And, I will fess up. I've used Ivermectin pour on to treat mites in my birds. After doing a bit of research, it is used in limited applications to treat human parasitic infestation. Yet it is not approved for poultry. A quick net search did not result in any use of Sevin or Carbaryl to treat any human issues.
Do your homework and choose your poison accordingly.
I also do not like de I have found when I did use it, it took my breath away so hubbie and I both said if it does this to us must do it to our chickens so just use the Vaseline and the skin on the one chickens legs is so smooth and clean, do have a chicken with a growth on her foot and half the toe is just hanging there, not sure what to do about that, I have been using the Vaseline on her and sofar looks a little better
