I'm wanting to know what the heck is going on in my feed???
All my feed is stored in storage containers for weatherproofing in the outdoor environment. I've noticed this phenomenon in two separate containers, but so far only in the crumbles.
A few weeks ago, I'd reached the bottom of my chick feed container and noticed the remaining feed was kinda powdery... and moving. The powder didn't look like normal feed powder, but what caught my attention was, if you looked close enough, the powder was moving around. Whatever is in the feed that's moving is way too small to be perceptible with the naked eye, but there was certainly something there. Since it was the last bit of feed, I went ahead and threw it out and got a new bag.
Now, this evening, I'm seeing it again in my quail feed, this time in a half full container with about 25lbs of feed left in it.
I'll see if I can post a video, but this is weird. I'll likely dump the whole box. Goodbye $$, but I'm curious if anyone knows what's up, and how to prevent it?
