Mites, lice, worms, etc..

I'm looking for a way to treat all of my birds for lice, mites, worms, Etc. I'm trying to find something that is healthy for them and won't be hazardous in any way. I know that there are several pesticides in the stores that I can use. I really wanted to try and find something natural. I thought about using diatomaceous earth but when I mentioned that on a Facebook website, the conversation got extremely heated. Some people say it's very bad and can cause cancer. Other people say that is very good for your birds and humans and gets rid of mites, lice, and any internal parasites. Others say that it can only be used as a preventative. I've tried to do my own research and I'm coming up with conflicted answers. So I figured I would ask here. One guy even said to use Sevin Dust on the birds . If there is anything else that you guys can suggest, I would greatly appreciate it.

there is dust bathing medium you can add to natural play sand that works for mites. lice you can use normal lice shampoo just dont let them preen or groom tull its rinsed off thuroughly

diatimacious also kills flea eggs and hatchlings so thats a double edges sword.

use diatimacious in the coop, light dustin in the bottom of nesting boxes and cover with pine shavings or straw. though ive heard horror storys about impacted crops due to straw so i shy away from it
