Thank you! I’m also sorry about your amberlink. It’s sad to lose a chicken! I heard lots of protein is good for the molting process, anything else I can do to speed up the process? Or help them out? It’s supposed to snow this weekend

I, too, have heard that. I do not know what else might speed it up... some chickens just molt faster than others (I think the ones that lose lots of feathers in a sooner period are the ones that end up growing them back faster ). All you can really do is wait, and perhaps try to be as calm as possible around them/make sure they don't seem stressed. I do believe that a couple of high-protein things good to feed them during their molting phase is cat food and mealworms...my chickens are CRAZY over mealworms (and like the stray cats' food, too, LOL).
