Mites or favus?

hello,
so recently i have found that my flock has favus. White fungus(barely though) skin peeling honeycomb watle etc. but they also have these small black things on their head. is this mites? its like a cluster of black dots on the bottom of their comb.

Yes a picture would help. Favus is treated with antifungal creams such a Lotrimin and Miconazole. Fowl pox is common this time of year with mosquitoes all around. Here is a good picture of severe favus below and here is a link with good pictures of pox:

i am actually already treating fro favus. micanazole cream twice a day. it seems to help. i have been fro two weeks. but the little black dots dont look like favus one ill post a pic tommorow :)
 
No it isnt that but thank you for the fast repply. i put some vaseline on the spots and the fungus itself. seems to really help. gets rid of all the crusty skin immidiatly and makes the micanazole cream alot more effective. however i will not use vaseline to often just because of the side effects :)
 
tiny side effects. i mean very tiny haha. like sweat pores getting closed up
 
a question. i have now gotten rid of the black things with the vaseline. do you have any idea how i can do a formalin treatment? explanations online are a little vague and i dont understand much of it. thanks
 
oh ans ignore the side effects. i checked the sight again and it was someone with a very strong opinion haha
