Mites or Lice? Please help identify and need treatment for Ducks and chickens

I'm going to reschedule my work for tomorrow so I can get started on this first thing in the morning, but if it'd be best to go ahead and treat Izzy, I'm more than happy to right now.

I wonder if the Canada Geese that are visiting us brought these in. I am always looking for any kind of bugs and this is the first time I've noticed these. I do get help getting my ducks up often, so that's probably how I missed it.

Edited to add that the only reason I was even thinking about the "how it happened" is that I certainly can't treat the geese and they keep coming back everyday and sometimes stay overnight

Will either of these products work? If so, is it safe for all ducks and chickens? Do I dust them under wings and around vent? I apologize but I am just freaking out at the moment

Both of those will work and both are safe for all poultry and waterfowl

I haven't seen them on any of my ducks or chickens but I'm not even going to risk considering a possibility that they were just hanging out in the feed and feeders. They've got to be on the ducks, definitely and probably on my chickens as well, since I stop getting the chickens ready for bed while I get the ducks off the pond and fed, then back to chickens and just too much back and forth to not bring stuff (pests, etc) back and forth between everyone.

Do the liquids/sprays, like Elector psp (I hope that is correct), or possibly ivermectin (which I haven't looked into yet but I do remember it treating some type of creepy crawly, work better or faster than the powders I have? Elector does not have egg withdrawal, correct?

Permethrin and Elector are both effective and safe. You do not need to panic. These bugs won't kill your chickens in this short time.

I've used both. Permethrin dust is messy but it works. You will need to repeat it a few times to get eggs that hatch.

Elector works on the birds and is a liquid concentrate so you can spray the premises, too. I used it a couple years back when I found lice on my chickens. I only had to use it once and it also took care of the eggs. I also use it for scaly leg mites. Very effective and easy and non messy compared to oils.

I hate to jump back and forth between threads, so please forgive me. Would you advise me to keep my wyandotte, Izzy, on Corid for the remaining 2 days of the direct dose and 7 days starting tomorrow of 2 teaspoons of Corid in all 3 chicken flocks gallon waterer as well as this treatment? I wouldn't think one would interfere with the other but I want to check with you guys

No conflict between treatments. The lice/mite treatment has no egg withdrawal either.

@Miss Lydia, what do you suggest for treating ducks with lice? My problem is that they are only locked up, away from the pond, overnight. Otherwise, they spend the majority of their day floating around in the pond.

@casportpony and @azygous does the same information for treating chickens for lice safely apply to ducks? I guess I'm most worried about my chickens because I have one pullet that is not 100%. Plus, my ducks are going to be sharing most of their space with the Canada Geese that can't possibly be treated. I'll still be treating my ducks, but I'll probably be treating for a while

Lice and mite treatment is the same for chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, quail, etc.
