Mites or Lice? Please help identify and need treatment for Ducks and chickens

I was worried that the treatment wouldn't work since the ducks are in the water (probably washing treatment away) all day. I've been reading an old thread by @Folly's place about Gordon's Permethrin spray. I'm only on page 4, so far, but is this still considered an effective treatment? I also just read that I only need to treat the birds and not the coop/house and bedding. Is this still true? I already planned a day off work tomorrow so I figured I'd go ahead and treat everything, but now I wonder if I should wait until tomorrow evening.

I treated all the birds at night while they were roosting, and also the entire coop, walls, roosts, floor, everything. Cleaning out all the bedding, spraying every inch of the coop, and new bedding. In freezing weather, the permethrin dust would be easier on the birds, but still the spray all over the coop is best.
It's not fun, but necessary.
Wear at least a N95 dust mask, long sleeves, gloves, the works, and wash the clothes and yourself when done.
Repeat in ten to fourteen days.
Wild birds bring the mites or lice in, so it's will happen unless you have a totally indoor flock.

It's looking like my low for tomorrow night will be about 40° and that's on Thursday morning around 5 or 6 am. I'd rather use the spray because of the ease and I am a complete and total nervous wreck (if I'm being completely honest). I'll have to get a mask. It seems like the liquid is more foolproof than the powder, as long as I mix/dilute it correctly

What about this? I think I have mites. I found this under the chicken feeder.

It might be a mite, but look on the birds at night with that flashlight. Are they on the birds?
There are many kinds of mites, and you want to get the ones directly affecting your birds.

I looked at and around on 2 of my birds vents and didn't see anything crawling nor did I see anything on the roosting bars I plucked the birds from
