As long as this is just a lack of protein in the diet, the addition of more protein like turkey or beef will pick up the egg laying. More protein means more eggs. It takes about 3 days for extra protein to make a difference. If you feed them meat 2 or 3 times a week, by the end of the first week you should see more eggs being laid. If the meat makes no difference, then something else is going on.Tanks for the advice. twocrows I was wondering if I wer to feed them turkey or beef would it stop the laying? If you are looking to start a new thread...and I take it, this is on your mobile phone. I am not sure about mobiles, as I use a lap top here. But you need to locate the icon or button that says, "Start a New Thread", just as you did to start this entire thread. When you find this button, it will lead you to a page you can type and describe your problems. Here is the link to the emergency thread.Click here and find the Start A New Thread button and proceed...
Hi, just wondering if Wazine is enough to treat worms or if you need to follow up with another medication? and also, is there a withdrawal period for eggs with Wazine? Also, often when they do have external parasites, they also have internal parasites. Internal worms will drain the life right out of chickens and will kill them eventually. And over load of worms will prevent them from laying. If you do suspect worms, you can offer up some Wazine in the water for one full day. 2 tablespoons of Wazine per gallon of water for 24 hours. Repeat in 10 to 12 days. You can get Wazine at most feed stores.![]()
