Mites, what to spray?

TSC has given my coop mites!

Opened the nest door and they're swarming all over the coop!

What do I use to kill them? Do I need to spray the birds? They seem unaffected by them. But they have spread onto my dog & they come off onto me when I play with him. Ugh

Google grain or flour mite. There's lots of different kinds.


Sprayed everything with permethrin 10 and so far no new mites.

Yes, but those mites, while annoying, are not threatening to you or your birds. It's actually more likely that someone went into tsc and carried them in with them. If they are grain mites or bird mites, permethrine will do its job.

Okay. Didn't say they were threatening.
They were making me and the dog itchy after being near the coop.
They're all, or mostly, dead now.
