I know how to identify and treat mights in a small flock (20) but I now have a large one (135) and I don't want to have to handle each bird to dust them. Does anyone have a suggestion?
thanks.

Sulfur. Do you have the chicken health book by Gail Damerow.? She talks about Sulfur being the best product to use for mites and other external pests. You can put some in their dust baths and it gets transferred even to chickens that don't dust bathe and you can put some in their feed, too.

That may bee something to try. I was hopping that I could do something without haveing to pick each bird up and sprinkle stuff on them.
Do you know what a product is? Sulphur is a little vague.
Thanks

dosage is 1 1/2 to 2 oz per 50 lbs feed, Or add to their dust bathing spots. It works to control mites, lice, fleas, ticks.
