Am guessing you won't need it........you've done 2 treatments already.
Did you determine if you have poultry mites or roost mites?

Also some of my chickens have diarrhea since this morning. Could it be because they were out all day in the corn field yesterday when I cleaned and sprayed the coop? I hope it's not the permethrin I sprayed on them.

I just went to check the roost and chickens. No blood smear on all 3 roosts. I only checked 2 chickens out of 11. I startled them they were screaming. Some went flying all over the coop.

Yes pretty much. I am concerned you're going overboard trying to treat for mites - are you not checking each time before doing another treatment, as you've been battling this for weeks now?

Do NOT treat for anything if there is not an active infestation. It does no good because permethrin doesn't kill eggs, and just because these are considered safe for use on poultry, they're still pesticides and not meant to be used indefinitely.

It's good to use a dim headlight and keep it pointed away from any 'escape path',
if they can't see they'll be more likely to stay put.
It can be tricky, gotta stay calm, cool, and collected yourself.
The more you handle the birds off the roost at night, they more they'll get used to it..
Maybe just check a few each night.

You need to get it under the feathers and onto their skin,
couple squirts each around vent and neck, belly and back, and under under each wing.

Yes, I take them from the roost one by one and spray mist all over the chicken. I think I squirted more than 2 then rub the skin. I just went to check the roost if there are mites. all 3 are clear. I also checked 4 chickens and I don't see anything crawling.

Tomorrow I will be soaking their feet. Very dirty. They were under my rain barrels (2 are leaking) then to my flower beds looking for bugs. Do you know how long I have to soak them?

Personally I wouldn't bother..... maybe if they are feather footed.
