Where i board my horses they have a barred Rock and An Ameracauna Rooster Running around with 2 RIR,3barred rocks, and an ameracauna... one of the eggs that i just hatched was green and it hatched out a black/white chick that ended up being blue... The barred Rock bred that Ameracauna that was white, so is that why it is blue?? if anyone has pictures it would be greatly appreciated if you could post them on this thread:)!

If the egg was green would it not have been from the Ameracauna hen? Barred Rocks lay brown eggs and being bread to an Ameracauna rooster isn't going to change her egg color. It will change the color eggs their chicks lay maybe but not her. She is still a Barred Rock. Unless is herself a cross. And lots of chicks change color. My Columbian Wyndotte chick was mostly black but in the end she wil be mostly white
