Mixed breed 16 week old - confused on gender.

I agree. I'm just thinking the white may be a roo as tail feathers and saddle feathers (hard to see in pic) are pointy and not well defined. Also the wattle and comb seem rather large? Hmmm....

That white could definitely be a roo, especially if you're seeing saddle feathers. His wattles are the biggest of all...

No crowing yet - I though that wasn't until at least 20+ weeks. They're all very skittish and yell like crazy when picked up, takes some time to calm them down.

Maybe this is testament to the breeds but I have an 11 week old Barred Rock cockerel that is crowing. A Buckeye boy right behind him is trying as well. All of the boys I've had crowed around 14 weeks. If they haven't done so by now, I would be content thinking girl..

Righto - need to return them to the lovely lady for a swap. Hopefully I can tell better which one is a hen now when choosing.
