Mixed breed chicken show!

My 2 Silkies X Nankin chicks, they hatched on Jan 23 and 25!
This chick is first hatched.

2nd chicks is next to older one.
Its a Silkie X Nankin!

Hopefully, they turn out beautiful hens or roosters! :)

Here's a couple of my girls. They're the generic commercial layers that the local feed store sells in the spring. No real idea what kind of breeds might be in em.

Here they are enjoying the day I thinned the turnip patch.

Your brown chickens are Golden Comets, and white one probably Leghorn.

A mixed lot of lots of mixes

Mix lot of mixed breeds hatched under a young RIR cross laying hen who went broody unexpectedly (barely laid 2 dozen eggs & wanted chicks!). Eggs were less than $1ea from a local CL advert, got 3 or 4 each of three different hens eggs (speckle sussex, wyandotte, and RIR) crossed with one roo (Silkie), = 4 very distinctly different colors of chick with variables in the markings on on even the most similar of chicks. One solid black, one red, 2 yellow w/ spots on their heads, two yellow with faded chipmunk stripes, and three darker brown chipmunk striped chicks. Some have 4.5 toes, others have 5, one has 5 on one foot, 4.5 on the other. At least I'll be able to tell them apart! I never named my 3 Laced Wyandotte hens because I don't know which carbon copy I'm looking at LOL. Browsing the mix chick thread I see that these random breeds can result in some very pretty birds, but not very often ;) 9 of 10 hatched within 12 hours of one another the 21st night & 22nd morning. The last egg may or may not pip in the makeshift incubator I invented, but mom lost interest in the nest today, preferring to huddle down with the chicks closer to the food & water, or wherever they happen to be not on the nest anymore.
