And I have about 5 EExphoenix mix babies running around
I absolutely love how they all got the Phoenix tail, they are super cute :love

This is Wendy. I believe she’s an Easter Egger. Me and some friends are trying to figure out what her parents were. Obviously one was an Ameraucana but we’re unsure of the other. View attachment 1275423View attachment 1275424View attachment 1275425View attachment 1275426
We’re thinking that the other parent was a buff laced Wyandotte or even a buff laced Cornish View attachment 1275427View attachment 1275428
She’s gorgeous! My guess would lean toward Wyandotte

I used to have a Cochin bantam rooster who gave me two interesting crosses. His name was Georgia.
Georgia (11).JPG

He first bred with a Rosecomb bantam, Raven.
Raven.jpg

Their daughter is Mykerion. She took her color and comb from her mother. She's got a ring of red around her neck, perhaps from Georgia's red, and some of her tail feathers curl under like a Cochin. She also has feathered feet, which her dad did but mom did not.
Mykerion (7).JPG

Georgia later bred with a standard-sized hen called Arizona. She was sold to me as a Rhode Island Red, but I believe she was some kind of mix, maybe production red.
Arizona (4).JPG

Georgia was half Arizona's size, so I thought for sure their kid would be some weird in-between size, or even full bantam, as I'd heard the bantam gene is dominant. But their son is five months old, and he's massive, already bigger than his mother was. His name is Jamal. He looked a lot like his mom when he was younger, because he used to have spots, but those faded and he now looks a lot like his dad, except for his face.
Jamal (43).JPG

I also have a d'Uccle/booted bantam cross, but he looks pure d'Uccle. The breeds are very similar anyways. The father was a silver booted bantam, the mother is a white d'Uccle, and the son is a white (with some silvering hackles) rooster who has the poofy cheeks of a d'Uccle.

Production Red over White Silkie.

Pretty! It's interesting that she ended up with that color.
Is Griffin a Faverolles x Phoenix?
I suspect his other half is phoenix, but then again it could also be some other type of longed-tailed breed. The person I got him from had no idea.

She isn't a chicken, but she isn't a dog.
I don't know what she is.

But she is my everything. Her name is Harriet <3 I love her so much, it's ridiculous.
Love you my precious baby :love
Awwww! She looks like a white rock or leghorn cross.
Close up of "Baby" rooster. So the girls both have a true pea comb but what would this comb be called? He started out with a pea comb but it has grown into this triple looking thing. Or is it normal for mutts to have off Combs?

It is pretty common for mixed breeds to have weird combs if both parents had different comb types. He's pretty, is he a brahma mix?

The ones in the first picture look like they have cochin in them. Very unique!

It's interesting that they mostly resemble the phoenix parent in body and comb shape. Very neat cross.

Are you sure she had an ameraucana parent? Most EEs are easter egger x easter egger crosses. Whatever cross she is, I really like her partial buff lacing.

The rhode island red looks more like a buckeye or wyandotte mix to me. I like the look of Jamal, he's definitely a cool mix.

Almost our entire flock is mixed. Mostly orpington, light sussex and faverolle. A few others too

IMG_7451.jpg

This is Penny, her father is my icon, a blue orpington rooster and her mother was a salmon faverolle. Her sisters still in our flock all look very similar. Mostly orpington in shape, size, floof and colour (solid black or blue) but with the beards that faverolles have. Other faverolle mixes in our flock also have the 5th toe and partially feathered legs, but these traits didn't always show up in the offspring

IMG_7511.jpg

These are Penny's sisters, Concrete on the left and Lady Jane on the right, both have beards (can't really tell about their legs from this photo though)

IMG_7660.jpg

Although it's hard to tell from this photo, this very old girl (about 9~ years) is a light sussex/faverolle cross. She doesn't have any faverolle colouring, but does have sparsely feathered legs and the 5th toe

IMG_7611.jpg This lovely mum is also a light sussex mix, her mother is this lovely hen, so a mix but I don't know what of. Brown2.jpg

All the chickies are now about 4-5 weeks and are showing some lovely colours

IMG_8868.jpg

This one has been throwing me off, because we don't have any chickens who look anything like this one. It'll be interesting to see how it looks full grown

IMG_8900.jpg

I have a suspicion that these two were father by our new white leghorn rooster, but none of the other chicks from this clutch were. It was a very short window (about 5 days) where the leghorn could have fathered some chicks

And here are the babies enjoying the sun!

The man I’m buying Wendy from hatched her and her brother from eggs from a man that said they were Ameraucanas.
Here is Wendy’s brother
