Mixed breeds

I agree with about the appearance of tetra tints. I've never bought any for that reason. How do they compare with your other hybrids as layers?

They are outstanding layers, and lay a lovely pale tan egg. Looks gorgeous in the egg boxes alongside other colors of brown, a couple of white eggs, and a few blues and greens.

If their eggs didn't set off the other colors so well, I wouldn't be able to deal with their looks.

They are outstanding layers that lay right through the winter, and lay a lovely pale tan egg. Looks gorgeous in the egg boxes alongside other colors of brown, a couple of white eggs, and a few blues and greens.

If they didn't lay so well, and if their eggs didn't set off the other colors in the carton so nicely, I wouldn't be able to deal with their looks.

I tried for years to breed a foghorn leghorn. I did get one hen with a red head and neck but that as far as I got. I'll try again when I retire.
