I'm starting the thread because it got aggravating bouncing between the separate threads for my chickens breeds. This is my mixed flock they are pets not show birds. They have such great personalities. I have 3 Roosters. The Brown Leghorn is the Alpha Roo.

Foggy... is a great roo. He takes great care of his girls. All 3 of my roos were given to me and raised together from chicks. They get along well except for sight pecking order issues.

Rosco.

Beau He is by far my favorite of the 3. he is a big baby who likes to be cuddled.

Group shot... lol

Rosetta

Their Gaurdian... All 6 lbs of her.

Believe it or not all that bark kept a Akita(sp) at bay until I got there to run it off.

I hope you enjoy my birds and much as I do. Please feel free to post pictures and stories of yours as well.

I love the idea of a mixed flock thread. My girls are all hatchery chicks and are pets too. I have 1 each of 7 breeds and 2 EEs. We love them and my husband and I spend hours sitting outside just watching their antics.

This is Spike, my Barred Rock and the 1st to lay! She is the sweetest thing!

This is Matilda my Black Australorp. (7 mos)
The pictures do not do her feathers justice. They are irridescent green. She is very sweet and gets along with everyone. She was my second to begin laying.

This is Jasmine Black my silver laced Wyandotte. She is top hen and a little testy with the other girls. My husband does not understand pecking order and gets upset that she is a bully sometimes.

HenRetta is my White Plymouth Rock and second in charge. She is the master bug catcher. Nothing escapes once she see it.

Hope I am not hogging your thread, but I love sharing pictures of my girls
Daffodil my Buff Orpington who is 7 mos. . She is camera shy, so this is an older pictrue. She was bottom of the pecking order for a long time, but now she stands up for herself.

My next group of girls are all 5 mos old and have not started laying yet but are squatting and showing signs that they will be laying soon.
Spice my sweet little EE girl.
Peanut Butter also an EE. I can't wait to see what color eggs the EEs will lay!

Cinnamon my Speckled Sussix girl. She is so sweet but is very curious and into everything.

This is Silver, my Blue Andalusian. She is a character and reminds me of a road runner. She is constantly on the move and loves to sit up on anything high. She is the smallest of my girls by far, but is not afraid of anything.

This and the post above comprise my little mixed flock. Sometimes I wish I had a Roo and I always wish I had every chick I see, but I am very happy with all my girls. Luv, Luv, Luv 'em!

Welcome! I was afraid no one wanted to do this thread. Post all the pics you like. I have a hard time saying no to chicks infact yesterday I could not say no to these long legged chicks at the feed store... I bought two bronze turkey poults. they are the cutest little things. I have them in the brooder with my Silkies and Bantam. I have birds closer to their size, but these guys are clumzy and were getting knocked down so they are in with the littles. What is so funny one of them has made close friends with my very smallest bantam. They snuggle up and sleep together. I can just picture them grown with the little bantam ridding around on the Turkeys back.

Are they not the sweetest things.
