Mixed or purebread ducks

I have a couple of questions on selling ducks..Do people buy mixed ducks or is purebred the way to go?I know easter eggers and mixed chickens Don't sell well .so I'm wondering how ducks do. I have a Cayuga duck his names lucky and looking to get some female duck friends for him..one more question do ducks incubate there own eggs...ive had chickens hatch chicks but I've never done ducks before any help is appreciated.

Purebred would sell better I imagine, or at the very least you’d get more money from them.
Ducks need to go broody just like chickens if you want them to hatch eggs.

I do not have experience with ducks but yes they can go broody the same as chickens

I’m pretty sure it’s the same as chickens, except for longer incubation period of course

PurebrEEds are probably always worth more and will sell better.
Depends on your market.

And some domestic duck breeds have pretty much had the brooiness bred out of them so depending on what breed your going for you may need to think about an incubator if you want ducklings.

Different breeds have a higher broody rate then others. Muscovies are by far the most broody, whilst my mallards don’t go broody often.
