We unfortunately have to take a bit (probably all) of responsibility for it. We know there are occasionally loose dogs in the area and took the risk of allowing the chickens and ducks more free range than we usually give them.

Nifty, I am so sorry to hear off your family's loss of Lemon and Brownie's injuries!! Did Brownie recover? I sure hope so...

Fortunately Brownie is doing very very well. We put "him" back with the other duck (Lilly) and the chickens about 4 days ago and seems like he's doing pretty well.
