I only have one incubator and am planning to hatch chickens and ducks together. I know to start the ducks a week before the chickens. Here are my questions:
I cool and mist the duck eggs days 8-25. Is that okay for the chicken eggs or do I remove the duck eggs from the incubator for that process?
What is my goal humidity? I did 55% for the duck only hatch… 75% for lockdown.
I’ve never done chickens before. Only duck. And the duck hatch wasn’t that amazing but could be from egg quality. Not really sure. All the eggs in this hatch will be shipped eggs to get Ancona ducks and Delaware chickens. 2 dozen of each. Last time I did shipped duck eggs, 6/13 hatched which isn’t bad for shipped eggs according to what I’m reading.

We’ve hatched both at once before, we put them it at about the same time and the hatch dates varied throughout 2ish weeks. I wouldn’t worry so much about it. I would take the duck eggs out of the incubator when misting though. That hatch was with our own eggs so I don’t know how shipped eggs will change that. Our hatch rate was good, we got 7 ducks out of 10 eggs. We had a few semi broody ducks who gave up leaving different hatch dates.
