Both of them look like hens to me. The feathers look more rounded than pointy from what I can see on the hackles and saddles. Not sure on the breed though.

It's been a few weeks since I asked about these.
They look 100 % better than when I firs bought them....but I still have no clue what they are

I get confused about what quality means when it comes to chickens. Does it mean they lay will not good or something else, like they do not conform to a breed standard?
What does production bird mean?

I was looking at pictures of the brown leghorn, and they do favor. Mine just are not as pretty and do look pathetic, next to the pictures. Trying to figure out why mine have white in them...wonder if they were an "opps" and one parent was a brown leghorn and the other something else.

Thank you for pointing me in a direction to figure out what they are.

Yep, poor quality via the breed standard. They should lay as any other bird-if not better. Production breed is "Any breed of chicken bred specifically for high egg production and is usually not appropriate for exhibition or meat. "

To me, any breed that is not completely a exhibition breed, is what I call a "Production breed". Examples- Leghorn, Plymouth rock, Australorp, Rhode Island red, Orpington, etc.. Some may differ on opinions, but those are classified as Production breeds to me.. While something like Sumatra's, Silkies, Polish, etc.. Are Exhibtion, and Cornish crosses would be meat.
