My FIL wants to get a couple bantam hens for this guy. I've just been calling him mixed, is that correct? He was a rescue, but I think he's 12-18 months. Would Dutch bantam hens probably be the closest to get for him? He does fine with my large fowl, but my FIL just really loves bantams lol.

He does look like a crossbred. His shape does kind of look like a Dutch Bantam (and the white earlobe), but his feather color is not similar. I agree that he looks more like an Old English Game Bantam.

This is a picture of what some Dutch bantam hens/pullets look like. If you're going to hatch chicks, I personally think Game Bantams would be closer to his type/feather color.

Oh my gosh, so trying to find him so OEGB hens...Why do people assume you're up to no good? Ummm, I just bawled like a baby watching Disney/Pixar's Coco. I am most assuredly not trying to find/breed fighting cocks. Also, I was looking for pullets/hens not roosters. What is wrong with people? I did find some really pretty Golden Duckwing OEGB hatching eggs, I think that's what I'm going to get him.
