I have recently added a mottled bantam cochin roo and 2 black sumatra hens to my flock.

I'm wanting to incubate the banty's eggs, as I've never incubated bantams before. Just curious if the cochin roo will produce a feather-footed chick or if it's a toss-up?

Anyone have a cochin/sumatra mix out there they have a picture of?

Thanks-
Em

The offspring will have feathered feet, although the foot feathering will be more sparse than on the cochin parent.

Also, the offspring will not be mottled, although they may show slight evidence of mottling that will molt out as they get adult feathering.

Thanks, guys. I have been without a roo for quite some time. The urge to incubate is BAD. LOL.

Thanks again-
Em
