even if i were to get chicks or younger hensUnless you are able to get the her a bantam friend, I'd separate her from the big birds. They will pick on her because she is smaller
Here is a photo of her. Not sure her breed. I am very new to raising chickens.What breed of bantam do you have? The breed will play a big role in if you should get some bantams and large fowl or if you can get away with just adding large fowl.
i think i will get a couple young bantams hens, and 2 larger but younger then the bantams to see how it goes. my bantam hen i have now will be happy to have other chickens around her, i have been told chickens for the most part are very social.They are just oegb's, I have a trio of them plusplus chicks being raised by mom. I don't allow them to mingle with the other bantams just cause I dontd want to risk anything. However, I do have a silkie chick being raised with the chicks in my egg layer starter flock and they all get along well...
