New to chickens here. Was just wondering if I get a batch of a few chicks now, then get a few more in a week can I put them in the same brooder or is it best to keep them seperated?

There shouldn't be a problem mixing chicks that are close together in age. I have done this successfully several times. There is a chance of suffocation if the older ones pile up on top of the younger ones. I would think this would only happen if the temperature was not right. Watch and observe their behavior and enjoy your new chicks!

I've got 4 & 5 week olds in the same brooder and I'm going to make a bigger one this weekend and make a section for my almost 2 week olds so everyone can see and get to know each other but can't touch until the little ones get a bit bigger
