mixing chicks together

I currently have 6 white cochin chicks that are about 1 week old and I will be getting 25 2-3 day old buff orphingtons on friday. Will I have any problems putting these chicks together in the brooder? Will the bigger chicks try to hurt the new chicks? Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't hurt to try. I have several ages mixed in my brooder and I just had to keep a close watch on them in the beginning. Soon, they were fast friends and I didn't have any more problems. Good luck.
