Does anyone know if I can mix the Cornish X chickens in with the rest of my regular chickens?
I've had a horribly time trying to raise the Cornish X. I bough 50 birds and lost 25. They had enough space, but I thought if I could mix them in with the rest of my birds they would get even more space and might not die from heart failure. My biggest problem is that I plan to feed them a strict ration diet (only 30 minutes feeding, twice a day). After the feedings they will free range for the rest of the day. Will it be okay to feed my regular birds this way? I'm just trying to figure out how to make this work better without loosing 50% of my flock before butcher time.
