Mixing DE in feed

Hi fellow chicken raisers. I want to mix some DE in my girls feed, but un-sure of the best way to do this. Im useing just a small 3# feeder. Are yall just like pouring the food in a bag and adding DE and shaking or mixing the DE in the feeder. Whats the best way to get it mixed evenly.

Hi,

Depending on the size of the feeder and how many chickens/chicks are eating from it I put a handful and mix it into the feed then load the feeder.
You don't need much.
