mixing different breed of adult hens

Hello,
I am in process of getting 3 layer hens from a friend. She has mentioned that different breeds (plymouth rock, golden,etc) dont mix as well as getting same kind.. any feedback?

My Barred Rock and Rhode Island Red are pretty much best friends. I only have one of each of my breeds currently, with the exception of two varieties of Marans and four varieties of Old English Game Bantams. Everyone gets along fine.

I'm not sure which breed you mean by "Golden"... gold sexlinks, perhaps?

Mix away! While some generalities of breed behavior exist, it is really more about the individual birds' personalities. I have always had mixed flocks
