Hi,
I hatched my own Ameraucana, with the plan to have one or two of them, and two silver laced Wyandottes, but the breeder I'm getting my SLWs from had fertility problems and I won't be getting my SLW chicks for another week. My Ameraucans, however, hatched a week ago. So, will I need an entirely different brooder when I get my SLW day olds, and if so, when can I mix them?

The rule of thumb is that it's safe to mix ages if everyone is under one month. Of course, chickens are still individuals, so you never know just how it's going to go. There will be squabbles, too. I'd try it, and watch for blood.
