mixing different egg ages in incubator? help!?

Me either, but poor service is poor service... To get them so early is one thing, to get them so damaged is another... They will want pictures I am sure...
 
Personally, I wouldn't buy another incubator for a few quail eggs. You are right that lockdown is in 2 days. Shipped eggs should be rested for a day (pointy end down) to get their air sacs to the top again. Ideally, you leave them upright for a few more days in the incubator before starting to turn them. By then, the first batch are hatched and you can setup the turner for the second batch.

Is this a Hovabator with turner? If so, pop out one of the rails and put the new eggs on it (no turning). When you remove the turner for lockdown, place the new eggs (still on the rail), in with them. After they hatch, move the turner back in and your all set.
 
Well I went out and bought a still air for the eggs that look viable. I'll put them in tomorrow afternoon. If they develop that'll be great, if not, oh well. I'll just order eggs from the person that sent me my first batch. They were awesome. : )
 
I've only had one other shipment of eggs to compare this with....my first shipment was 15 and it was in a big box, bubble wrap covered the paper egg carton, and there was newspaper inside the box to absorb shock. This box that I received of half crushed eggs was really small for 24 eggs. To me at least. They bubble wrapped the cartons but all someone had to do was squeeze the box and ruin the eggs....just my opinion. See...

I didn't realize these eggs were that close to hatching, I was thinking 21 days ...Your right, that's what I would do too.
 
I sent them an email with pictures attached. I almost feel bad about it, I'm not the kind of person to complain...but maybe they'll send me some more eggs, packaged better!!
 
Good news, they are sending me a new shipment of eggs! I just pray these don't get smashed....
 
Tomorrow is lockdown! This is my first hatch so I'm pretty nervous. Right now everything is good. All 8 eggs are shaking, pretty creepy. Lol
