So I had a pair of muscovies I got from tractor supply. I lost one last year so our one has been living with the chickens. We're considering getting a couple more ducks for friends even though she seems happy. Do they have to be muscovies or will they still "make friends" I want her to have someone to do duck things with

it would probably be fine to add a few more ducks of another breed, but speaking of having Muscovy's and Runners They all live together but they really stick to their own breed. But @Ren2014 has a Muscovy drake who is in love with Pekin females so it would probably work.

I wouldn't mind just getting more muscovies but I didn't know they were muscovies in the first place. TS doesn't have breed labels and I thought they were Perkins lol. I love her now and she's an awesome duck. I kinda don't want to order them cuz I want like 2 now 10

Have you checked craiglist? It would be best to get a duck her age that way they could become friends faster than waiting for ducklings to grow up since they would have to be kept separate from an adult duck. And you'd be able to tell drake from female too. Or adoption from shelter or rescue. What part of US are you in. There are several rescues in the US.

She's been with just the chickens for 6 months now so she's used to it. I've looked on Craigslist before they don't have ducks very often around here. I'm in PA and it's not really a rural area so there aren't many duck farms around here

Have you been on the PA thread? Go to "where am I where are you" and look up Pa. I know we have members from Pa. besides you that is.
