My friend got 3 runner ducklings and sadly lost 2. She asked if I could take it on as she didn’t want it to be alone while she was at work etc me being me couldn’t say no
No idea how old he/she is but it’s just started getting its adult feathers on its ‘tail’
I have 5 khaki Campbell chicks (all hens) that are approximately 1 week old, there’s a considerable size difference between the runner & the campbells, is there anyway they can brood together? Or would the runner squash or bully the others? Assuming if not that eventually they could share a house & run in the garden? Or is the runner destined to be alone? I’ve tried finding some runners of a similar age with no luck :(

How old is the Runner? They will totally be able to live together eventually, and depending on the age of the Runner, possibly even now.

I believe he/she is around 3 weeks but is quite a bit bigger than the campbells.
Just feel sorry for him/her sitting in the brooder by itself :(

Why don't you try introducing the ducks together now? Make sure you are there to monitor the situation but they may surprise you and be fine! I've had very good luck introducing new runners into my flock.
