This was when it was a day old. I need to get an updated picture.

I may be of some help! We just got 3! The dad was a silkie and mama an EE. They are only 2+weeks old so I don't know what kind of eggs they will produce. They all have 5 toes too! It looks like one will have the muffy EE face and one looks like the feathers are predominately silky. Then one more of a mix. They all took the brown color of the EE.

Know this is an old thread, anyone want to update? I had some beautiful mixed Silkies, but I had known since childhood that they would be beautiful! Had a neighbor growing up that had a very mixed flock of chickens in the backyard and had Silkies and a few other bantams, particularly a beautiful hen that was probably a Silkie/Seabright mix, she was a beautiful, golden feathered bird with a feathered turban like crest, beautiful black laced feathers, feathered feet, black skin... The neighbor got tired of my hanging out in the alley watching his chickens and gave me a Silkie pair of my own... Years later in my 30's I raised some Silkie crossbreds with the Americauna of the time and had a hen that looked very similar to that Silkie/Seabright mix, and she was a sweet thing. Anyone care to update with some pictures? Silkie cross chicks can be so beautiful and interesting that there should be a thread devoted just to that!

I am hoping for updated pictures too! My only roo is a silkie so I’d love to peer into the distant future (they are all pullets now) and

We got two silkie chicks from a friend and she mentioned that a few of the other chicks (the hen hatched 17 in total I believe) were definitely gathered by her EE. They have his coloring but look like a silkie.
