The weather is making me happy today. It's beautiful out, 76° and sunny. Gets chilly at night now, down to 42° but it warms up quickly

Watching my former feral cat discover the chickens. Mama aka Toothless had all her teeth removed due to complications from calicivirus. She is now an indoor cat, unless she pulls off an escape. She's only 7lbs. But is convinced she's a Bengal tiger. This is the first time she had gotten out this year and made a bee line for the chickens, who didn't care at all. One even stuck her tail feathers through the wire to bait the cat closer. They are all napping/sunbathing together.

I will be very happy today when I cross off half of the stuff on my to do list.

To do list is a constant reminder of things I don't want to tackle...procrastination...hoping in vain that it will sort itself out

My barred rock hen is making distressing sound now..the dragging on sound, not too loud, but it sounded like she has an issue so deep in her heart...she is almost 4...off to tend to her majestic ..

The plants that I impulse bought. Most of them were on clearance.

It was on the news this week that a man working in a Jean making shop 36 years, never take a day off work. He works 6 days a week and on Sunday work also in the workshop, he says that he loves his job so much. He own his jean shop and give out alternation for free.

I am thinking....I will find way to joyfully tending to my chickens, it has been lack of joy and more of pain lately.

Today, I will be happy to find joy in little things about my feathery kids....of course I must get in the car and drive out to get that Mcdonald Cheese burger meal that I have been dreaming of

We've got to treat ourselves sometimes, too!

Yesterday I was walking so stiffly both students and staff were concerned. I had to use the elevator. This morning I got cortisone injections in both knees and I'm already feeling like a new (significantly younger) person. Tomorrow, it's the shortcut stairs for me again!

Out of 21 chicks, 8 weeks old, only 3 appear to be cockerels.
