Hi all,
I currently have a RIRxLS and a rhode rock.
I really would like to grow my flock by 2-3 more.
in the past I’ve had pekin bantams which I adore. I’m looking to hatch a few eggs from a local farm and was wondering if the two breeds will be okay ‘living’ together?

I introduced a hybrid to 3 pekins in my last flock around 5 years ago and it worked out okay but as this is the other way round I was wondering if integration would work?

many thanks

Most breeds of chickens can live with most other breeds. I think it would probably work out OK, depending on how much space they have (more space makes everything easier.)

Here's an article about integrating young chicks with adult chickens:

It relies on the young ones being smaller, so they can be get into a safe space that the older chickens cannot access. If you're adding young bantams to adult standard sized chickens, there will probably be enough size difference to make that part easy!
