Mixing in chickens

How old should me chicks be before I mix them in with my full grown hens?

Look for them to be about the same size as the adults -- mine were about 12-14 weeks this year. You can do it any time after they have all their feathers, but a little bit of weight helps them hold their own.

thanks mine are still young. They are 6 weeks old today and are out growing there brooder! I am going to have to build a temporary coop to place them in until they can go in with the rest of my chickens!
