mixing my own feed

Does anyone know the modern name for true Sussex Ground Oats? I know they were made using a carbanon (?) stone in the ginding mill.

This doesn't mention another name. However, I did find "colloidal oatmeal" which may not have the husk ground along with it, so it may not be similar at all. Sorry I don't know but I hope this helps.

Thank you, this is a big help. In llieu of Sussex Ground Oats, perhaps emben oats will serve, however they have no hull.
