Hello everyone. I have been watching this board for several weeks now, since before our chicks first arrived. You all have been very, very helpful.

In my research, I read that at age 8 wks I should mix oats into my starter/grower crumble slowly until about 50/50. My question seems sort of obsurd for me but I rather ask a ridiculous question that not care for my chicks properly. So, can I just by oats like what I would eat at the store and mix them in? Do I need to go to the feed store and get something else?

    I appreciate your help!

If you're following Storey's recommendations on the oat inclusion, you will want to purchase whole oats from your local feed store.
