Mixing silkies and hens together

Hi I have the hens pictured above and I would like to know if I could introduce my Silkies to them and keep them altogether. The hens are 1 year and 1 1/2 years old and my Silkies are 19 weeks old. I guess they are too young at the moment but can I keep them together and if so what age should the silkies be when I do?

I think you could put them together right now as long as they have enough room and some hiding spots. Just put the silkies in after the hens are roosting for the night and they should be fine. I keep an Old English Game Bantam with my big hens and my rooster and she is just fine. I hope the transition goes well!

I might let them out together in the garden first. they have been able to see one another through the wire since the silkies were about 6 weeks old. If they get on ok I will then put them in the coop.
