I have a question I'm hoping to get help with...
We have a Male Honey Suckle Turkey so he's a heritage turkey. I gotta say, I love heritage Turkeys. They seem smarter & more alert than full breasted...
Anyhow, we bought a bunch of Full Breasted White Turkeys this year. Depending on there healthy of course... I'd like to be able to breed the Full Breasted Females with the Honey Suckle Male. What would the offspring be?

Thanksgiving Dinner.............

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

your BB's will have a hard time, the girls you will have to take special care with them. you will have to keep them on the light side (fat) or they will not be able to lay eggs or mate

LOL! Yup, Thanksgiving dinner will be here for sure!

So you think the offspring will be full breasted also?

I plan to keep them in our 160 sq ft Aviary. If we can build a bigger one, I'll do that instead...

The offspring will probably be larger than the heritage, but not as large as the broad breasted. I agree the problem will be keeping the broad breasted restricted so that they can stay active. 160 square feet is not much space, what are the dimensions?

the offspring will be fuller in the breast than the father but not broad breasted than the mother. the male offspring may still have problems breeding though

. depends on how big they are

The Aviary is 16 foot x 10 foot...

Hmmm, I was wondering if they would be more medium which is what I want...

You're right, I just need to figure out a way to keep the females healthy... I think limiting fillers like
Corn & seed should do it shouldn't it? Well, tat with space...
