I have 2 flocks of chickens. One coop is 18x20 w/ 8x18 covered run. In that coop we have 6 standard size and mixed varies of hens with a small bantam rooster. Second coop 8x12 w/ 8x12 covered run. It contains 6 standard size and varies of hens, no rooster. A friend is offering me 1 or 2 small breed roos that have been together with another rooster and about 10 hens. I want to mix everyone into the 1st large run at night. Perhaps change a couple of things around in the coop at the same time while everyone is sleeping? Its just so much space for so few. We had more in each coop but heat, dogs and other things have thinned us down over the last 2 years. Will be culling some of the older birds in spring, to make room for new birds. So, I'm just worried about everyone getting along. Has anyone mixed 2 groups? And what should I expect?
