Mixing vaccinated birds with non vaccinated birds

Are there any dangers of mixing birds that have been vaccined with birds that haven't? I want to order some chicks but idk if there might be a problem that may arise by putting them all together once they grow up

Mareks vaccination is actually considered a leaky vaccine. It does shed off of your vaccinated chickens and may provide some protection to your unvaccinated chicks. However, if your chickens already have Mareks and the vaccine had safely made them asymptomatic-you're going to be in a world of hurt.

The story goes that hens that are asymptomatic are actively supporting the virus whereas usually they would have just died. This is allowing the disease to persist in your flock. Any time you introduce new chicks to your flock you are going to be gambling that they were not exposed to Mareks from wild birds.

I personally continue to vaccinate my chicks. I would rather do that than find out my flock is carrying the disease when the chicks I've been hand rearing for 4 weeks suddenly fall ill when they are introduced.
