Mixing Varieties

If you mix one variety with another of a same breed will it be considered a mixed breed or mutt?
Ex- mixing a barred Plymouth rock with a buff Plymouth rock.
Would it be considered a purebred Rock or mixed breed?

It's considered to be a mixed breed as it will not meet the SOP standards for recognized color varieties within that breed.
