MJ's little flock

I sure hope he learned that lesson. Good. I'm glad. I hope it got hurt and is sore for days!
I think it might be sore. It hit at quite a speed, but it had so much agility it just sort of gathered its thoughts in mid-air and flew off without even falling to the ground.

I am a little perplexed by Phyllis then as she did lose weight while setting. Even though I removed her every day to eat. She was not fed while on the nest. She is a tiny thing but then she would eat less. Could it be she didn't eat enough when she did get up?
I wonder about that too. It was her first sit. Maybe she hasn't got good habits yet?

Could it be cooler in the house? It's not like there is food to be had. Where is Blossom?
It is cooler. That's definitely part of the explanation.

But the hens have turned a corner with respect to me lately. I'm allowed to touch them a little bit now. Every night there's Peggy's ride on the escalator and I give Ivy a gentle pat, sometimes lightly brushing Mary's tail feathers at the same time. And Janet likes to follow me around.

I assume you don't play the piano because there are people who will tune it for you for a fee. 😉
:gigI've called a few but it's one of those things which is quite low down on the list. Given all the projects on offer in the house, the piano might get done within a decade 🧐 but I won't stress out if it takes longer.

Unfortunately it's woefully out of tune but it looks lovely!
I used to have my grandmother’s 100 year-old piano, which was ornate like that one. It had a crack in the pin-board which meant it couldn’t be tuned to concert pitch, but it could be tuned within itself. So it was a semitone (half-step) off concert pitch, which really messed with my perfect pitch.
