MJ's little flock

Good evening MJ :frow

I'm glad you got them drinking the medicated water. :yesss:

Good evening MJ :)
That's great news about your birds drinking the medicine water.
Hope your evening gives you time to relax.

Hello :frow I'll be on poop inspection duty for a day or two. Then they get another dose in a week.

Well, it's easier for Mary too.

The dose is 100ml in 3 litres according to the label on the bottle or 10ml in 200ml per 6kg of hen according to the website

I've used the dosage on the bottle. I'm watching the poops and will follow up with another dose in a week, also as per the label on the bottle.

Given her reluctance to drink at first, I'll ask Dr Hill for a follow up flotation test in a month.

There is a lot to learn! My husband makes fun of me and my babies because of everything I do for them. His mom had chickens when he was growing up and he doesn't remember her doing anything for them that I do. Evidently she would go out, open the coop, feed them, check for eggs sometimes, feed them again and close the coop. No treats, not toys, no weekly checks or anything & they were fine. That was 45 years ago and they free ranged. Mine are in a large tractor/run and require things to keep them from getting bored. If the great outdoors can't provide that then I need to. He just doesn't understand. I haven't done the nighttime checks before, so this week I plan on doing that. So much to watch for!
Hello :frow How did your nighttime checks go? All good? If you feel like sharing, I'd love to learn about your hens :)
