MJ's little flock

Yesterday I decided to expand the pre-roosting holding yard to provide greater opportunity for after dinner bug hunting.

It's working well. The hens seem very happy with the extra leg room.

Mary is already in the big coop so she can fill up before bed without having to worry about Peggy the Peckasaurus getting cranky with her.

That looks great. I particularly like the bench so you can sit with them.😍

Is that a peach tree sapling? That will be nice and shady for them in a couple of years. 🌳

It's a peacherine my aunty gave me a couple of years ago ❤️🌳❤️

It's grown so big and strong I no longer need to protect its roots from the hens :)

It recently lost a few of its outer leaves from the funrun build, but other than that, it's had a good Summer.

Very nice. It's like a little courtyard for them.

Hmmm. I have never heard of it. I must look into that.
It's not quite as clean as the propaganda would have you believe, but it's better than many others.
You need to stop scripts running and that makes the web rather slow and cumbersome.
If you really want your privacy then Tor browser is about as good as it gets but once again, you pay a large penalty in usability.

Wow. That is quite list. Hawks take quite a few of your chickens don't they. Two of them died protecting others. Chickens are quite brave animals despite their reputations. :hugs :hugs
It took about three generations for them to learn how to hide from the hawks.
The Goshawk is always here.
